I wish to thank you for making it possible to bring Dan to the Bennington Center for the Arts. We were most honored to have a musician of his talent and caliber here’from Washington DC to Bennington VT. Our audience is an artistically savvy one who appreciated Dan’s performance Immensely. His discussion of the work he was to play was informative and enjoyable particularly since the Spanish work he was performing was unknown to most of us. What was particularly nice for me was the following week we attending another concert where some Spanish music was also featured and I could hear the exact influences of which Dan had spoken. His sensitivity combined with powerful and dynamic technique provided a great listening experience for all in the audience, whether seasoned concert goers or casual listeners.
One little story I would like to share. A particularly devoted music lover had informed me ahead of time that she would not be able to stay until the end because of a previous engagement. Dan finished playing his final encore with her still sitting there. She told me she just couldn’t tear herself away from such fabulous music.
I look forward to hearing Dan in concert again soon.
