NATIONAL GALLERY OF ART, WASHINGTON, D.C.

The capacity audience at the National Gallery’s Sunday Night Concerts came to hear the brilliant pianist Dan Franklin Smith and they were not disappointed. On the contrary, they were thrilled. His diverse program of Chopin, Gershwin, Copland, Brubeck and Previn was greeted with cheers.

Hi Stephanie,
I attended the concert last night with Dan Franklin Smith at the NGA. It was beautiful. He played so well and the huge crowd (even tho’ the weather here was gorgeous) loved every minute of it.

I shall have something about the concert in my April Applause column. Bravo to Mr. Smith.
